Self — a person's own skills and their own papers.
Self is the division for what a household does for itself rather than for an employer or a client: the home, the kitchen, making and repair, care — and, on the Records track, the household's own papers. Hands and Records run here; the Machine track does not. It is open, with nothing filed yet.

One named person's own way of doing something in the household — a household job, cooking, making and repair, care — held with their consent and asked for by name.
Records
A household's own records as a reference: a personal assistant's kind of record, personal finance, a document vault. It answers with named sources and refuses when the records do not support an answer.

Both tables belong to this sector and come from the register. Opening a family is a decision of the register; a code is never renamed and never reused.

Capture, and the privacy that governs it.
A Records set here would be made as one is anywhere, on the household's own paper: records mining first, then Ratify. The converter turns that paper into a reference that answers with named sources and refuses when the records do not support an answer, and every output carries a receipt saying where it came from. Method statements are then drafted from it, and the person accepts, amends or declines each one, authored and dated. Nobody is interviewed and nobody is recorded to build a Records set.
Privacy is the whole of this sector. The Source is the household, and a household's records are a company's-records kind of Source: coded, and never named publicly — unless the person chooses to be named, as a named practice is. Nothing a household hands over is ever named on a Card, on a tile or in the Book: no real client, no real job number, no real rate, and no real person without a signed consent naming that exact use.
A Hands set here would come from a recorded session, with consent read at the moment of recording and never reaching back. The four consents are the person's own — to be recorded, to be held alongside others, to run under the person's own name, and to be used to train a model — each given and ended on its own. Ending one is never a breach. It stops for new work at once; a job already underway finishes. There are two dates, never collapsed into one: the out-of-service date, when nothing runs it anywhere, and the true date, when every copy is gone.
A private record — something a family keeps for itself — is never listed, never licensed and never counted. It stays off the register entirely.
What can be written down, and what is handed over first.
A records reference captures the written-down-able kind of knowledge — the kind that would take too long to write out, the kind a person does without knowing it — and never the somatic kind or the collective kind. A household's papers hold a good deal of the first: what was paid, what was decided, what was fixed and when. The paper says which grade is being bought.
Step zero is an inventory. Somebody declares what the body of records is, the body is checked against the declaration, and a dated statement of what was in it is sealed, so a later change is detectable and the Source can always answer what was handed over. Even Steven holds it with the consent.
What is licensed here is reference, never a decision. It answers and cites. It never pays a bill, never signs anything and never moves money.

Steady Eddie and Strategic Agent require skill sets. Even Steven owns them. Tacit Tessera licenses them to OEMs and to AI.
Even Steven owns what is made of every skill, for the person or household it came from, holds the consent, and is the one paper a Source signs. You own your skill, always and forever. Tacit Tessera numbers each one, licenses it, counts every use, and lets anyone check it.
No house collects in Self today, and none is named here until the sector takes its first entry. AI, here, means a platform, an agent builder or a household's own assistant. It never means a model developer buying material to build a model from, and no skill set is sold for that.

The tiers are Consult, Apply and Reference. Consult returns a composed answer that cites its sources. Apply produces a work product the household keeps as its own document. Reference is a pack for an agreed scope, from contributors who opted in, returned or destroyed against a certificate.
Every served passage and every work product names its number and edition. Serves are counted, one signed row each, and the count is a ledger the Source can read: appended to, never rewritten. A withdrawal takes effect at the next serve.
What a family would be handing over, and what comes back.
Nothing here has happened. Nobody has handed anything over, and there is nothing to sign.
If one day you did, it would look like this. You gather your own papers. Somebody writes down what you handed over and gives you that list back, dated, so you can always say what was in it.
What you get back answers questions out of your own papers and tells you which paper each answer came from. If your papers do not say, it says so. It does not pay anything, sign anything or move money. You do that.
Your name goes on it only if you ask. Your address, your accounts and the people in your house stay out of it. You can stop the whole thing, and it costs you nothing.
Your paper would be with Even Steven. We keep the list and count the uses, and never ask you to sign anything.
Posted to the Source.
Two objects are made for a skill set at issue and posted to the Source: the plate, the tile made solid, with the number and the name raised and the collector's mark stamped into it; and the card, the same marks at wallet size. Where the Source is coded, both carry the code and name no household. Neither is a contract: a printed card cannot be recalled, so its authority comes from the verify address and not from the plastic.
